When : Last Sunday Morning - 01/04/07
Where : My Parent’s Home, TTDI Jaya, Shah Alam
Heavy downpour for almost 3 hours. The drainage system simply failed to work. This is the second time flood happened in less than a month time. Weird, coz the drain upgrading works had just completed. But why doesn’t it works? It took almost 5 hrs for the water to completely drained out. Many hypothesis i heard on what caused the flood, nearby on going construction works, abondoned huge retention pond project, failed pumping system… bla..bla..bla..
Where are all the so called experts who claimed that they have th e best way to improve the situation? What happened to the so called RM 300M fund announced by the MB to upgrade the system? It just got worse and worse..
I bake this simple but superbly delicious home made banana cake just now. I ve tried the steam version a couple of times, but this time, baked version. This is one way of not just letting tonnes of bananas we brought back from my hubby’s hometown over the CNY holidays, into the bin. (yaa.. still have some more, should think of pengat pisang, lempeng pisang, or simply cekodok tomorrow)
Let me share the recipe which was given to me by one of my in law’s close friend.
Kek Pisang
Bahan-bahan
8 biji pisang emas/pisang kapas
1 1/2 cawan tepung gandum
1 cawan gula halus
3 biji telur
1/2 cawan minyak masak
2 sudu teh soda bikarbonat
2 sudu teh serbuk penaik
1 sudu teh esen vanilla
Cara-cara
1. Pukul gula dan telur sehingga kembang.
The motif that i stitched,
later finished into a cute biscornu. This piece is stitched using Anchor multicolor floss #13xx, on a 14 count Aida. Biscornu is an eight sided small pincushion. Size : 2" x 2" x 1" thick.
I m going to construct another biscornu for my stitching group exchange programme. To those who are interested try here is the tutorial link :

Event : Jurutek Consultant’s Family Day
Venue : Eastern Pavillion, Holiday Villa, Cherating
Date : 12/08/06 ( Sat ) - 14/08/06 ( Mon )
My notes on the trip
Departed from shah alam at about 11a.m, saturday. reach cherating at about 3.30pm. quite fast, i guess, since we took the LPT hiway. Not so many traffic, but the hiway surface is quite bumpy throughout the way, causing discomfort when we keep on bouncing inside the *speeding car.
*mengikut had laju kebangsaan tau.. hehehe..
We checked in Rumah Perlis. There are 11 eastern design houses, basically each one representing a state in our country. Two seperate rooms, a private pool+jacuzzi, n beautiful landscape.
The food falls between, ‘OK laa’ to lousy. Hmm.. tak nak comment banyak on food. Didn’t have the chance to walk along the beach, since si budak Fahim was with us, but the sea tide was at high level, alarm sign was on.
This was the first time we brought the baby for an outing activity like this, quite hesitated in the beginning, with my mom, my grandmom and few others telling me " Jangan dibawak budak tu , kecik sangat lagi, nanti takut jadi apa2.." Risau gak, he was only 3 1/2 months at that time, but alhamdullillah, everything went well. Tapi terpaksa gak angkut buai dia..
Other activities arranged by the company were, ok laa. The best part was, of course the lucky draw.. so lucky i was .. won the 9th place, huhuhu. We checked out at around 2pm , monday, 14th aug, only reached home at around 7. So tiring, as again, we took the bumpy LPT plus the long distance journey itself.
Received this link thru my mailing list..
enjoy the song of siti n datuk K .. kuang.. kuang..kuang..
hai..hai.. finally sok-sek, sok sek pasal siti ni dah terjawab.. macam2 pendapat yang aku dengar.. hehehe.. my opinion, biarlah.. mmg laa.. nampak macam siti ni jahat bersalah? coz dia pilih si datuk K who was still married at the time she met him.. siti ke yang sebabkan diorang cerai.. ada jugak yang kata sebab si siti ni is no 1 in everything, so takkanlah dia nak jadi bini no 2 pulak.. kan? hmmm… ke siti pilih datuk K ni sebab nak title datin n harta? hmmmph.. rasanya datuk K yang lebih untung lepas kawin ngan diva sorang ni.. bila dah famous, business sure lagi masyukk..
dah jodoh dia kawin ngan duda.. biarlah.. itu bahagian dia.. kan siti nyanyi pernah kah kau terfikir bermimpi, seketika, berada di tempatku…
as for me, from the very beginning of her career. tak kisahlah apa yg dia buat.. tak kacau hidup pun..i will always love her singing,
Received a mail from one old fren of mine, forwarding this nice piece of soul-therapy story. Here goes..
"A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other’s cups.
Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn’t change. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it. "So, don’t let the cups drive you… Enjoy the coffee instead."
hehe.. cross stitch.. i vaguely recall someone promising me a wedding gift.. something along the lines of cross stitch.. sape ekk??
